Sacred Black Records Collaborates with Interlochen Music Faculty and Traverse City Philharmonic on Tom Childs’ Singularities

Composer Thomas Childs’ first recording of solo instrumental works, produced by Matthew Cochran, is expected in spring 2027

Sacred Black Records is collaborating with the music faculty of Interlochen Center for the Arts and with the Traverse City Philharmonic on Singularities, the first recording of solo instrumental works by composer Thomas Childs.

Produced by Sacred Black Records Artistic Director Matthew Cochran and recorded at the TC Phil Center and on campus at Interlochen Center for the Arts, Singularities features works for flute, clarinet, violin, viola, guitar and piano.

The album features Nancy Stagnitta (flute), Katia Waxman (clarinet), Renée Skerik (viola), Ara Sarkissian (violin) and Bryn Roberts (piano), together with Sacred Black Records’ regular contributors Kara Huber and Matthew Cochran.

Singularities is expected to be released in spring 2027.
